The Story

Some things just make sense. The idea for The Abbey was born from 4 folks that love craft beverages, love people, and want to help their city grow. It just so happens that these 4 people are actually 2 couples: Abigail + Daniel and Abby + William. If you’ve already realized the obvious, good job! You’re quick. But no, the name of the business isn’t solely based on the fact that 2 Abigails are involved… although that’s definitely a factor that we can’t deny :)
The name ‘The Abbey’ is a nod to the Trappist Monks and abbeys that had an enormous role in making beer what it is today. We’re inspired by the excellence they brought to their craft and in turn we want that to be part of your experience too.
We want The Abbey to be a place where people from all walks of life can feel welcomed and at home while simultaneously sipping on a delicious beverage. And that beverage doesn’t just have to be a beer! We also have some of the finest ciders, seltzers, wine, kombucha, non-alcoholic, and other interesting options. No matter what you like, come on by… We’ll keep the drinks flowing for you!
